Lisa Young
Lead Treatment Coordinator & Dental Nurse

THE SOCK SLEUTH

Lisa joined Soar Valley Dental Practice in 2004 and qualified as a Dental Nurse in 2006, making her one of the longest-standing members of our team.

If there's something Lisa doesn't know, she'll find out. Exceptionally knowledgeable and with an eye for even the tiniest detail, she's our resident investigator — give Lisa a question and there will be no stone left unturned. There's every chance she'll return with the answer, the evidence and several other useful things you didn't even realise you needed to know.

Her natural attention to detail made Treatment Coordination a perfect fit. As our Lead Treatment Coordinator, Lisa helps patients navigate their treatment from those first conversations right through to completion, making sure they understand their options and always know what happens next. New patients may meet Lisa at the very beginning of their Soar Valley journey, and with her wealth of experience and reassuring manner, they're in extremely safe hands.

Lisa still loves the clinical side of dentistry too and can regularly be found working alongside our dentists in surgery. Never one to stop learning, her latest mission is gaining her dental radiography qualification — because apparently having one job to be ridiculously knowledgeable about wasn't enough.

Outside the practice, Lisa loves spending time with her young family and is a serious bookworm. She’ll read just about anything and is rarely without another book waiting to be started — although apparently even reading doesn’t require switching the arcade machine off.

And then there are the socks.

Lisa’s socks never match. Whether this is a deliberate act of rebellion against an otherwise extraordinarily organised existence, or simply the one tiny area of life she refuses to coordinate, remains under investigation.

The photographic evidence isn’t helping.
