THE FLYING FLOSSER

Tav has been a Dental Nurse for several years and genuinely loves what she does. Alongside nursing, she is also a qualified Oral Health Educator and particularly enjoys working with children, helping them develop healthy habits and a positive relationship with their oral health from an early age.

For Tav, dentistry doesn’t need to feel scary or overly serious. She loves making things fun and approachable, helping younger patients understand how to look after their teeth without it feeling like another lesson from a grown-up.

Around the practice, Tav is warm, energetic and always up for a laugh. She definitely doesn’t take life too seriously — although she takes looking after her patients very seriously indeed.

Outside dentistry, Tav is a huge dog lover. In fact, “dog lover” may be something of an understatement. She spends some of her spare time looking after dogs and freely admits that one would never be enough — given half a chance, she’d probably have hundreds.

She also loves keeping active and doing gymnastics with her daughter. Naturally competitive enough to try to keep up, Tav likes to think she can still hold her own when it comes to anything athletic.

Yes, that really is Tav casually attempting a split jump on a trampoline.

What the photograph doesn't capture is the precise moment she remembered that having children and trampolining are not necessarily the most bladder-friendly combination.
