Born and raised in Leicester, Ash studied Dentistry at the University of Leeds before returning home to begin his career at Soar Valley Dental Practice in 2001. What started as his vocational training placement rather stuck — and in 2008, he took ownership of the practice he had already come to think of as home.

Known for his calm, friendly and reassuring nature, Ash has a particular talent for putting even the most nervous patients at ease. His relaxed, down-to-earth approach has helped him build long-standing relationships with patients and families, many of whom have been coming to see him for years.

For Ash, great dentistry is about more than just looking after teeth. He wants patients to feel comfortable, listened to and genuinely cared for, while making sure Soar Valley continues to evolve without losing the friendly, familiar atmosphere that makes the practice what it is.

Outside dentistry, life is rarely quiet. Ash enjoys spending time with his wife and their twin boys, as well as following almost any sport going — particularly Formula 1, football, cricket, rugby and tennis. A lifelong Leicester City supporter, he is also the proud owner of an encyclopaedic collection of quirky facts, making him either an invaluable pub-quiz teammate or an exhausting person to sit next to, depending on who you ask.
