Replace a missing tooth. Feel confident in your smile.
Dental implants at Soar Valley Dental Practice
A missing tooth can affect how you eat, speak and feel about your smile. A dental implant offers a fixed replacement, designed to blend with your natural teeth.
At Soar Valley Dental Practice, Neel provides dental implants with support from his implant mentor. We’ll guide you through each stage, explain your options and give you a personalised treatment plan before you decide whether to proceed.
What is a dental implant?
A dental implant replaces the root of a missing tooth. It is placed in the jawbone and supports a custom-made crown—the visible part of your replacement tooth.
Your assessment and scans help Neel establish whether an implant is a suitable option for you. He’ll also discuss the alternatives, so you can make an informed choice.
Your implant journey
1. Your implant assessment
Your first appointment is an opportunity to discuss what you would like to achieve and ask questions.
Neel will assess your mouth and take the diagnostic records needed, including small dental X-rays, clinical photographs and a digital scan of your teeth. He’ll explain his initial findings and whether to move to the next stage.
Fee: £120, payable when booking.
2. Your CBCT scan
If you would like to continue, we’ll arrange a CBCT scan at the practice.
This produces a detailed three-dimensional image of the area being considered for an implant, helping Neel plan your treatment.
Fee: £250, payable when booking the scan.
3. Planning your treatment together
Neel will review your assessment and scans and plan your case.
We’ll then arrange an appointment in practice or by video call to talk you through:
Your proposed treatment and the alternatives.
The expected stages and timescale.
The benefits, risks and considerations relevant to you.
Your full personalised fees and payment stages.
Any additional treatment needed, such as bone grafting.
The ongoing implant reviews and hygiene care recommended for you.
You’ll receive a written treatment plan and have the opportunity to ask questions before deciding whether to proceed.
4. Your implant placement
If you’re happy to go ahead, Neel will guide you through the consent process and we’ll arrange your implant placement appointment.
We’ll explain how to prepare and provide instructions for caring for the area afterwards.
Fee: £1,800, payable when booking to secure your implant placement appointment.
5. Healing and preparing your crown
Your implant needs time to heal before the final crown stage. This is usually around three months, although your individual timescale will depend on healing and any additional treatment.
When Neel confirms you’re ready, we’ll begin preparing your custom-made implant crown.
Fee: £1,200, payable at your crown preparation appointment.
6. Fitting your new tooth
Once your crown is ready, we’ll arrange an appointment to fit it and check its appearance, fit and bite.
We’ll also show you how to clean around your implant and look after your new tooth.
Crown fitting is included in the crown fee.
7. Your two-week review
We’ll see you approximately two weeks after your crown has been fitted to check everything and answer any questions.
This review is included in the crown fee.
8. Looking after your implant
Your ongoing care will include an annual implant review and hygiene appointments at the frequency recommended for you.
We’ll discuss these recommendations and the associated fees at your treatment plan presentation, so you understand the ongoing care involved before proceeding.
