Dr Ashvin Champaneri
Principal Dentist
GDC: 79285

Ash has worked at Soar Valley Dental Practice since he joined as a vocational trainee back in 2001, and he has been principal dentist and owner of the practice since 2008. Leicester born and bred, Ash studied locally before moving to the University of Leeds to study Dentistry, returning to Leicestershire after qualifying to complete his vocational training at Soar Valley Dental Practice.
Ash’s calm and reassuring nature means he is particularly successful with anxious patients, building long?term trust while always aiming to provide the best possible treatment and service. Patients regularly praise him not only for transforming their smiles but also for his relaxed, informal chairside manner, which helps them feel at ease from the moment they arrive.
Outside of dentistry, Ash enjoys spending time with his wife and their twin boys, and when time allows he loves following a wide range of sports, especially Formula 1, football, cricket, rugby and tennis. A devoted Leicester City supporter, he is also known for his encyclopaedic knowledge of quirky “useless” facts, making him a valuable addition to any pub quiz team.
Ash is passionate about the ongoing challenge of owning and running Soar Valley Dental Practice and is committed to making it a place that patients genuinely want to visit. He is extremely proud of his team and the way they continue to embrace new challenges while keeping patient care at the heart of everything they do.

She is particularly known for her holistic approach to patient care, taking the time to understand each individual beyond their dental needs. She has a strong passion for early interceptive orthodontics, especially in younger children, where she believes early assessment and guidance can make a significant long-term difference. Rachel enjoys working closely with families to support healthy dental development, focusing not only on treatment but also on prevention and overall wellbeing. Her approach considers the bigger picture, including growth, habits, and lifestyle factors, to achieve the best possible outcomes.
Outside of the practice, Rachel leads a busy family life with her two young children and her puppy, Narla. She enjoys spending time outdoors, making the most of the fresh air with her family and loved ones.
